Paparazzi and Suchitra Sen

Paparazzi is a plural term (paparazzo being the singular form) for photographers who take candid photographs of celebrities, usually by relentlessly shadowing them in their public and private activities. Celebrities claiming to have been hounded by such photographers often use "paparazzi" and even "stalkarazzi" as a pejorative term.
News agencies commonly use the word in a broader sense to describe all photographers who take pictures of notable people.

Suchitra Sen, a pronouned indian (read bengali, as most of her creation are depicted on the bengali screen) actress is in hospital and photographers all around are waiting at the hospital to grasp a snap and to publish it for a huge bucks. Currently I am not debating on the topic of privacy that one needs in his or her life. But I'm more interested to know who wants to see her photographs. I'm not. Well, she was a great actress, she presented us good pieces on movies, we enjoyed them and perhaps we will be doing so in the future. But under any circumstances I don't want to know what she is doing today. With all respect to her, we imagine Suchitra Sen as the characters played by the mighty talents of acting. But in reality she is not those characters. She is common human being just like you and me and there is no exaggeration that you will be overwhelmed by. If Zeenat Aman were hospitalized, would it be that much of a news?

No, surely it would not be. By enshrouding herself, she has created a strange attraction towards herself, especially for the media. Old age is a part of our life. As gerontologists say, daring from it is a psychological disorder and it is called gerantophobia . I don't know what is going on in her mind. If she is practicing the philosophies of Vedanta, it's well and good. Otherwise ...

Should Orkut Allow "Scrap to All" ?

These days, I receive tons of junk scraps in my scrapbox.
The above sentence is weired as junk and scraps are synonymous, literally and figuratively and there no word called scrapbox.
Anyway these infamous feature is well known in case of e-mails. These days, Orkut has become a part of our life and we can not live without it. By allowing its the users to scrap to all is surely a malfeasance from them(Orkut). Each time, I open my scrapbook first what I do is delete such scraps, like what we do after opening our mailboxes. The problem is that here you can not spam a particular sender, because in that way you are proscribing him or her to send you further scraps. May be the junk scrap that you are getting is coming from your very best friend. All we need is an general awareness to stop practicing this activity. Once you copy and paste that java script in your browser and press enter, you start sending the scraps to everyone in your friend-list.

AdSense

Google Adsense is the best marketing tool I have ever seen. I am surprised, rather overwhelmed by its sheer power or revenue making.

Currently I am trying to start a new business using this benign agent.

Hope for my success.

Cheers to life :-)

My Crush

When I was in class XI, I was in love with Juhi Chawla. I was mesmerized by her stunning beauty. At the later stages of my life, new names were appended in my my crush list. When I came in the fresher year of my college, I developed a great obsession towards Halle Berry. I ate her, I slept her and I dream t her in my sleep. These two women were my crushes but I was not so much mad about them.
Then I found Monica Bellucci. She was a living Goddess, epitome of the beauty and the human form of Venus. It is tough to describe her beauty in words. I saw each and every movies that she acted in, each and every ads where she was present. Malena is her greatest creation. I was so mad about her that I wrote a love letter for her, but could never post it.
When I was in my sophomore, I had a classmate namely Shiladitya. Some of his words made me realize or rather redefine the word crush. He was a very big fan of Britney Spears, but she was not his crush. It is true that if you are a big fan of someone, it does not necessarily mean that she will have to be your crush. But Shiladitya had all the feelings towards Britney that one should have towards one's crush. He explained me why Britney was not his crush. As he went on, "You know, there are so many guys after Britney. Whichever nasty site you open, you will find her picture there. Otherwise she might have been my crush". I said, "But the pictures that you find on those sites are all fake. And Britney has great number of fans, so what?? She can always be your crush. Are you going to marry her or what. Ha!!". Somehow that day he could not explain me. But I got what he wanted to mean.
Do you have any guess what he meant. Let me help you.
In our subconscious, we love the women, our crushes. We want them like we want our lovers. I know you all will laugh at me, but if you honestly ask yourself, you will get the answer. We want our crushes privately, alone in some romantic places, may be. We would love to talk to them, spend some quality time with them, watch them for ever and ever. But what about us who posses celebrities as their crushes? We don't even know how they talk or how they behave. We just impose the characteristics of our dream girl in them. And we want so spend some time with them. You know what I mean . ;-)
For me, my latest crush is Sreelekha Mitra. Most of you don't know much about her. Even I have a very less knowledge about her. I just know how she looks like. I have seen her in a movie-poster in the city wall. Since then I have been mad about her. Let me keep the name of the film as secret. You know, my sub-conscious instinct says me to keep it secret. I just don't want to share her with too many people. :-)
By the way, she came in a cocacola ad with Amir Khan.

A suicide note

The scripting, depicted below, are completely fictitious. Any resemblance with anyone, living or dead, is purely incidental.
_________________________________________________________________

A few while ago, the heavy dark brown freight locomotive stumbled by and vanished in the dark night. If there were day light, if you looked behind, you could easily see the IIT tower stretching against the rebel sky. Since it was pitch dark, neither the tower nor the sky was visible to the naked eye.
All that was psychic, mysterious and spiritual came to the forefront. This could be inspiring or it could be confusing, depending on how I was able to integrate it into my overall experience. Someone made a mistake by offering his mortal life to the grasp of death.
I don't know what death means. If this world is an illusion and if the life after death is the ultimate truth, I must not have been able to realize the life and death and above the the creation of the Almighty.
And if I assume that I am not mistaken, I knew that he came here to commit suicide. At least the suicide note on his desktop suggested so. But to my utter surprise, the body was not found. Finally he could not make it.

About Love

The blog owner has not written the following piece of text. It is the confession of an wounded lady, wounded in love, to be particular. The author is very happy to present it in front of you.
______________________________________________________________

I have found almost everything ever written about love. To be true, Shakespeare said, "Journeys end in lovers' meeting". Oh! what an extraordinary thought. Personally I have not experienced anything remotely closed to that. But I'm more than willing to believe Shakespeare had. I suppose I think about love more than anyone really should. I'm constantly amazed by its sheer power to alter and define our lives. It was Shakespeare who also said, "Love is blind.". Now that is something I know to be true. For some, quite inexplicably ... love fades, for others ... love is simply lost. But then, of course, love can also be found. Even if just for the night.
And then, there is another kind of love. The cruelest kind. The one that almost kills its victims. It's called unrequited love. Of that I'm an expert. Most love stories are about people who fall in love with each other. But what about the rest of us? What about our stories? Those of us who fall in love alone. We are the victims of one-sided affair. We are the cursed of the loved ones. We are the unloved ones. The walking wounded. The handicapped without the advantage of a great parking place.Yes, this is one such individual..

"You and Your IBM"

The piece of text, depicted here, are only the perception of the author. The author does not guarantee any truth in it. Though most of it is true, it must be taken with a pinch of salt.
__________________________________________________________________

My Orientation Program in IBM:

IBM's "your IBM" program is an employee training program and it is best of its kind as told by several magazines. I feel fortunate to undergo this program. Surely it will add some values in one's life as well as in one's professional career. It has made me not only a better corporate citizen, but also a better human being.

Our instructor was Miss Manjula, an ex technical person, currently in HR. She has been working in IBM for the last six years and in the industry for almost a decade. She came from Bangalore to conduct this one and half days long workshop. They arranged the workshop in the The Park, Park Street, Kolkata.
1st day:
Morning, lassi, it was fabulous. I can not say you the exact taste but can give you some hint. If someone has experienced the taste of ramuda's lassi in the RK Hall, for you, it was almost of the similar taste with added flavors and it was more smoother.
The session started. She gave us an introduction of that program. She made us clear about some rules, as usual, mobiles to be in the silent mode, punctuality, especially in the 'break' times. If you break the rules, you are going to be prosecuted, well, not physically but socially(!). You will have to entertain others. How do you define the word entertainment? If you ask, "Is that a tricky question?", I must say, "Yes. Very honestly." Let us preserve some other day to explore my insight on the definition of entertainment.
Anyway, if people deny your performance to be claimed as a piece of entertainment, you will have to perform on 'public demand'. She brought those pick-up-and-perform cards for this purpose. I hate HR personnels.
Each table consists of 6 or 7 employees(we are employee now!). They call it a team.(I wonder why the word team is so much popular in the corporate world.) The great Pinki(his actual name is Pinaki.) is in my team. Other teammies were from Bengal mostly except one gentleman from orissa. We had one lady with us as well.
We were asked to decide our team name("What is there in a name !!"), to draw a team logo and to sing (you read it correctly) a song. They call it "team song". We individuals have to decide a punch name e.g. rocky ramesh, confused sam etc. I chose The Ace Anirban. I am so much fascinated with the word Ace.
We chose our team name as AAPiRATION. It came from the initials of our name. We made a very good logo with colorful marker pens and we(except me) sang 'jo jeeta wohi sikandar' title song as our team song.
A small coffee/tea break. Baked sandwich and tea and/or coffee with some cookies were on the menu. I was over conscious to be back on time. I didn't want to be joker in front of everyone. I managed to be on time. Some people was not so fortunate. Let us skip that part of the story. We watched a video about IBM and its history and we were asked to find 3 points from that video. To me, they made sure that you must watch the video rather than to manage some time to sleep. Like others I did watch it carefully, not only because it was a part of the workshop but also the fact that I wanted to know about IBM, the my 'would be' living place for at least a couple of years. The infamous characteristic of IBM that attracted me was that in the 90's IBM ignored the invaluable 'customer feedback' and faced a huge loss. In 92/93 it suffered a 8.1b US$ loss. New York Times printed, "IBM is dead! ".
Its recovery was also phenomenal. Today it is the largest company of its kind. We all remember the TV commercials on "on demand business". It would be very boring if I start describing each and every detail of it. After all I am a very poor story teller.
What was mentionable in the two day workshop was Park's food and beverages. It was simply the best.
